Employment Rights At Work Specialisms

Compromise Agreements

Compromise Agreements are increasingly common when dealing with legal disputes within the workplace.  A Compromise Agreement is an agreement between both employer and employee to settle any claim or potential claim an employee has against a company via a mutual agreement which signs away all employment law rights in exchange for compensation.

Leo Abse & Cohen have extensive experience in dealing with Compromise Agreements and their specialist employment team is one of the only dedicated employment law teams in Wales dealing solely with Employees.

If you have recently been dismissed and wish to discuss a potential unfair dismissal case please e-mail the team at employment@leoabse.com

Discrimination

The law on discrimination whether it is on the grounds of sex, race, disability, religious belief or sexual orientation is a complex matter.  Claims have increased over the past couple of years due to increased perception of employees in relation to discriminatory practices by their Employers.

Leo Abse & Cohen have a dedicated employment team dealing solely with individual's claims against their Employers and we understand the sensitive nature of individuals bringing discrimination claims whether that person is still in employment with the Company or has ceased working for the Company.

If you have been the subject of discrimination in the workplace and wish to explore a potential discrimination claim please e-mail the team at employment@leoabse.com

Unfair Dismissal

The law on dismissal from the workplace has grown rapidly over the last couple of years with a huge increase in the numbers of unfair dismissal and wrongful dismissal cases in the Employment Tribunal each year.

Timescales are very tight with regards to the processing of such claims and a claim must be brought within three months less one day of a dismissal.

The Solicitors within Leo Abse & Cohen's Employment team have extensive experience in dealing with individuals claims against their Employers following dismissal and can undertake this work under a number of different funding options whether it be on a private paying basis, legal expenses insurance or "no win no fee" agreements.
